An award winning Ribble Valley gastro pub has reopened its doors following a £350,000 refurbishment.
The Seafood Pub Company’s Assheton Arms at Downham has been refurbished and accommodation added with rooms ready by March 1st.
The Assheton Arms was named the 2015 Good Pub County Dining Pub of the Year and features in the Good Food guide. It was also named the 2014 Ribble Valley Business Awards Food Business of the Year and Ribble Valley Stars in Tourism Awards Tourism Team of the Year.
“After investing in four new Seafood Pub Company sites last year, we felt that the time was right to freshen things up at the Assheton Arms,” said Seafood Pub Company managing director Joycelyn Neve. “Any work we carry out on the Assheton Arms requires careful planning because Downham is a conservation village, but we have updated all of the fixtures and fittings and made some changes to the layout.”
