Nominations for the Ribble Valley Business Awards (RVBA) open next week and there has never been a better time to support your favourite local shop or business.
The opening day is July 9th when there will be the chance to put favourites forward by visiting the nominations page of the RVBA website and filling in a simple form.
Once nominations are submitted, the business is contacted and invited to enter the competition for the Bowland BioEnergy Award. They can then choose which other awards they wish to be considered for. The business needs to provide details about themselves and why they think their business could win to help the judges in September.
The event is organised by Enterprising People in conjunction with Ribble Valley volunteer enterprise mentors. This ensures it is both local and independent.
Organiser Rob Carder said: “The search to find this year’s best local businesses starts on July 9th. It’s a great opportunity to put your favourite business on the map and show them how much you love what they do. It is a huge compliment and helps us all celebrate what is great about the Ribble Valley.”
There are 16 categories ranging from Large Business with more than 50 employees to Micro Businesses with up to four people, and an award for an Enterprising Person, so it really can apply to anyone.
Mytton Fold Hotel will host this year’s award ceremony on October 15th when winners will receive a framed certificate and a trophy designed and made by Ribblesdale High School.
