Firefighters spent nearly two hours rescuing a boy trapped on a cliff edge in a quarry in Clitheroe on Sunday.

Two fire engines from Clitheroe and Padiham, an aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn and the rope rescue team from Chorley were called to Cross Hill Quarry at 4-30pm.

The boy was uninjured.
