BOLTON-BY-BOWLAND: The art of origami explained

FANS - President of Friends And Neighbours group, Bolton-by-Bowland, Mrs Helen Tomlinson welcomed Steven Watson who introduced the art of origami.

He explained how origami can be traced back to 300–400 AD and the rules are that the paper cannot be cut or torn, only folded. All the group were given paper and guided to make a square box and a frog. Thanks were given by Maggie Morgan.

The next meeting is a summer walk on Wednesday, July 13th, Walkers meet at 6 p.m. on the Copy Nook car park, Those who only want supper can meet at the Copy Nook at 8 p.m.

The next meeting in the hall is on September 7th for beaded jewellery by Susan Holden, hostesses are Dorothy Wells and Sue Lund.
