If you think you can tell your crumbly from your creamy, then make sure you get yourself along to The Grand on Saturday (August 4th) and see if you come out tops in a food contest with a difference!
The Bowland Food Challenge is part of a fantastic menu of children’s activities being organised at the York Street venue as part of this year’s Clitheroe Food Festival – all designed to highlight what a truly tasty part of the country this is!
Alongside the Food Challenge, which will take brave youngsters on a culinary journey of the senses, visitors to The Grand will also get the chance to make their very own pizza with The Grand’s resident chef, decorate a biscuit “medal” and guess the weight of the “big cheese”. Adults will be able to test their foodie knowledge with a Call My Bluff-style cheese and wine tasting.
Entry to The Grand is free and refreshments will be on sale throughout the day. The fun starts at 10 a.m. with local artists providing music between noon and 1-30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded at 4 p.m.
