A woman is appealing for the safe return of her treasured necklace which she lost during an outing with her friend in Clitheroe.

On Saturday, December 3rd, Mrs Wendy Sanderson (75), who lives in Oswaldtwistle, was visiting Clitheroe with her friend and when she lost her gold necklace, which was bought from money left by her late father.

The necklace has an unusual pendant with one side jade green and the other a beige and cream stone colour.

Mrs Sanderson said: “I’ve had this item from approximately 1986 and it was last seen while I was eating in a cafe in Moor Lane, Clitheroe.

“I have spoken to the cafe owners and to the police, but to no avail.

“I was hoping a Christmas angel may have found it. It would be the best Christmas present to have it back and I am willing to give a reward to the finder.”
