An appeal for volunteer street collectors has been made by local Marie Curie fundraisers.

They are holding a street collection in Clitheroe on Saturday, March 18th, and need members of the public to stand with buckets in the town to make it as successful as possible.

All the funds raised help nurses in the Ribble Valley area look after people with a terminal illness. Volunteers can sign up via the Marie Curie website or call Anne-Marie Wynne on 0161 2552814.

A recent collection held at Booths supermarket in Clitheroe raised £1,498 for Marie Curie. Thanks have been expressed to Booths and to the volunteers for making this collection so successful.
