Another local road closed
Another busy road near Burnley has been closed due to the heavy snow.
The A6068 Higher Shuttleworth Road, Padiham, has been shut in both directions between the M65 and A678 Blackburn Road.
Lorries have struggled to get up the hill and have become stranded, while there was also queuing traffic due to the conditions.
Lancashire road police have advised people to find an alternative route.
