Air cadets from Burnley and Pendle are today marking the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force.

Up to 150 cadets and staff from the Cumbria and Lancashire Wing of the RAF Air Cadets were set to gather on the former Thompson Centre car park this morning (Sunday) from where they will march along Centenary Way arriving eventually at St Peter's Church, alongside civic dignitaries, the North Region Band and squadron banners.

Invited guests include Dennis Menderos, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, Andrew Stephenson Pendle MP and mayors from Burnley, Blackburn, Pendle and Rossendale.
