Pupils at Brookside Primary School in Clitheroe took part in a Joy of Moving Festival with sports coaches from Accrington Stanley.
During the Wednesday and Thursday sessions the children learnt about keeping themselves healthy by looking at food types, what they should be eating and the importance of keeping themselves active.
The coaches taught the children some ways of remembering types of fruits and vegetables along with some new games that they can play in PE as well as at home with friends.
Every class enjoyed taking part in this event and taking part in a sponsored shoot out, each other on.
In other news from Brookside, after a busy week with SATS it was time for the Year Six children to have some fun and enjoy an action-packed time in the sun at Waddow Hall.
The children took part in team-building challenges supporting each other during activities such as tree-climbing, Jacob’s Ladder, archery, zip wire and grass sledging. This gave the children the opportunity to demonstrate their different skills and strengths whilst learning a few new ones.
And there was even more fun to be had for the school's pupils when they strutted their stuff at a school disco organised by the Friends of Brookside.
Great fun was had by all the children, parents and staff alike thanks to the DJ skills of DJs Ben and Lily (stage name Bily).
Ben and Lily are ex-Brookside pupils who worked with the children to create a playlist of their choice.
