1,500 to take part in Burnley 10K run
The massive event, the first one to be held in Burnley, will take place on Sunday, June 2nd.
So far 1,500 people have signed up and organisers said it has already been well received in Burnley.

Hide AdThe route will take competitors round some of the town’s best known landmarks including Towneley Hall, Turf Moor and Rowley Lake.
The race will start from Burnley Mechanics before heading through Thompson Park, Brunshaw and the Brun Valley Forest Park.
Participants will run down past the golf course and Towneley Hall and back through the town centre to the finish line at Burnley Mechanics.
Thousands are expected to join in the event which could raise more
than £100,000 for charity.

Hide AdEvent lead Emma Griffiths said: “We’ve been given a really warm welcome by the people of Burnley who have been behind the event from day one.
“We’ve had phenomenal support not only from people wanting to run the Pennine Lancashire 10K but also those who have volunteered and helped in other ways. We’re really looking forward to next Sunday.
“It will be just fantastic to see 1,500 people running through the heart of the town.”
