Damsels in Success will be officially launched on Thursday, October 22nd, making it the latest branch in the UK. The driving force behind it is Sarah Walton who is convinced the group will change the lives of women who attend.

Sarah said: “I really want women to realise that you can make your life what you want it to be, you have the ability to change the way you think and I know that Damsels in Success is going to help them to do this.’’

Although from Penwortham Sarah (46) chose the Ribble Valley to launch Damsels because she is so passionate about the area.

“I grew up visiting here as a child, we were never away from the place. It is a beautiful part of the world with so much to offer,’’ said Sarah.

A teacher of children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, Sarah first discovered the idea of personal development when she was asked to take a coaching course as part of her job. It changed her life and the results were phenomenal.

She said: “There were so many who seemed, on the surface, to be successful, but had huge things they wanted to do or be but they weren’t honouring the desire the follow to these.’’

Coaching provided them with an outlet to express their thoughts to someone else and sometimes to themselves for the first time.

Mum of two Sarah added: “I love the transformational process and it has been brilliant to see the change it makes to people’s lives.

“Damsels is welcoming and non judgemental and whether you already have your own business, aspire to, work in the corporate sector or are not working currently, the group and the philosophies you learn help you explore a different way of living and working.’’

The “Live Your Dream’’ launch event takes place from 10am to 1pm on Thursday, October 22nd at the Stirk House Hotel, Gisburn. Attendance is free but those wishing to attend are asked to register at If you like to speak to Sarah about the group she can be contacted on 07975837684.
