Work to start soon on Primrose Mill homes

the long awaited development of a derelict mill site in Clitheroe has moved one step closer to becoming a reality after several years.

Award winning housebuilder Miller Homes has stepped in to re-develop the former Primrose Mill site in Woone Lane.

The regeneration scheme was first granted planning consent in 2008. The brownfield six acre site lies on the edge of town, between farmland and the Primrose Mill pond and reservoir.

Michaela Lancaster, Miller Homes sales and marketing director, said: “We are delighted to have secured such a prime location in Clitheroe and to be investing in the Ribble Valley area again. The new development, to be named Montgomerie Garden, will bring something new to the local property market.

“It will offer a range of properties from first-time buyer apartments up to four bedroom family homes.

“The new homes will appeal to people who wish to move on to or up the property ladder and stay close to the town centre. It will also attract new residents in to the area to the benefit of the local economy.”

Work is due to start in the summer on the project that was initially started by Beck Developments.
