Clitheroe runners help with the town's Covid-19 vaccine rollout programme

There was a takeover at Clitheroe Health Centre as volunteers from Clitheroe Castle Parkrun donned their hi-visibility vests for the first time in a year to become marshals for the Ribblesdale Hub Covid-19 vaccination clinic!

Taking place at the same time as parkrun would normally happen - 9am on a Saturday morning, the volunteers were getting back into practice for the reopening of Junior Parkrun after the April 11th. They walked, jogged and ran around to make sure the clinic operated as smoothly as ever.

Clitheroe Rotary president, Jenni Schumann, became 'run director' for the morning and made sure the park run tourists were made to feel most welcome, delivering an appropriately themed "First Timers Briefing" to marshals prior to the start of the "run"!

Vaccinators and staff from The Castle Medical Group and Pendleside Medical Practice also got into the running mood, wearing parkrun t-shirts!
