World-class: Clitheroe-based Ribble Cycles opens state-of-the-art showroom
Clitheroe-based bike manufacturer Ribble Cycles has opened a brand new, state-of-the-art showroom in the heart of the Ribble Valley.
With the company dating back over 120 years, Ribble Cycles' new store has been designed to showcase their award-winning range in a wholly modern setting featuring Europe’s largest indoor 4k video wall; Ribble’s BikeBuilder tool, which allows for fine-point customisation; and their Ribble Live virtual showroom team, which is on-hand to offer expert advice to customers around the world.
"This exciting state-of-the-art digitally focused showroom and brand retail proposition is the culmination of incredible work by the entire team at Ribble," said Ribble CEO Andy Smallwood. "Whilst we have been trading since 1897, this absolutely represents our vision for the future of the Ribble business as we continue to innovate and disrupt the cycling and leisure markets, building on our position as a truly world-class brand.
"This new flagship showroom showcases our vision for the brand’s future with the digital technology integrated into this physical proposition enhancing and complementing our industry leading online customer journey, demonstrating the ambition and scale of our strategy," he added of the Clitheroe-based showroom.
With every one of their bikes hand-built in the UK by one mechanic from start to finish, Ribble's attention to detail is legendary, with the company even developing a signature scent for their new flagship store. Come summer, the showroom will also play host to Ribble Cycles events, including ride-outs, evening talks, technical ‘how-to’ classes, screenings. and Zwift events.
"We wanted to create a brand showcase which would define the future of cycle retailing and represent our world-class credentials," said Commercial Director David Stacey. "Putting the Ribble brand experience in the heart of the Ribble Valley set amongst the most incredible riding routes directly from our doorstep was of paramount importance.
