Burnley business devastated by huge blaze begins rebuilding process
Sixty firefighters from across Lancashire were called to the accidental blaze at Equestrian Surfaces in Accrington Road just after midnight on Friday, May 29th.
The fire is estimated to have caused £500,000 plus worth of damage after ripping through the factory and destroying equipment including four tractors and a JCB2.

Hide Ad“Whilst the damage caused to our recycling facility in Burnley is quite extensive, we would like to reassure customers and clients that we are working to overcome any setbacks and that this unfortunate event has not impacted our production capabilities, as our production warehouses are based in Cheshire.
"As it currently stands, we are still able to fulfill any orders and continue to carry out construction and installation works across the UK.
“I’m incredibly proud of the team, who have all banded together to show their support and have all been very encouraging during this difficult time. At the moment, we’re trying to stay positive and taking solace in the fact that no one was harmed.
“We are all grateful for the aid provided by the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, who worked tirelessly throughout the night in order to bring the blaze under control. Thanks to them, our clean-up operation can begin, and we can all look to rebuilding and recovering.”
