The New Manfreds come to Burnley Mechanics

THE Manfreds will be reviving a golden era of music when they play the Burnley Mechanics next month.

Original Manfred Mann members Paul Jones, Mike Hugg and Tom McGuinness are joined by former member Mike d’Abo, Rob Townsend, Marcus Cliffe and Simon Currie to form their exciting new line-up featuring both lead singers from the 1960s band.

Since the band re-formed in 1991, they have been in constant demand throughout the world playing their considerable number of top 10 hits to all corners of the globe.

Their live gigs burst with that quirky mix of solid gold pop, jazz and rhythm and blues which was always their trade mark mixed in with a generous helping of showmanship and charisma.

“Do Wah Diddy Diddy”, “5-4-3-2-1”, “Pretty Flamingo”, “Ha! Ha! Said the Clown”, “Mighty Quinn” and “Semi-Detached Suburban Mr James” are just some of the hits you can expect to hear on what promises to be an unforgettable night for fans new and old.

The Manfreds will be appearing at the Burnley Mechanics on Thursday, May 19th. Tickets are £18.50 and available from the Mechanics’ box office on 01282 664400 or via www.burnleymechanics.co.uk.
