The meeting is open to all interested parties and will be held at St Mary's Centre Mutual Room, next Thursday, November 11th, at 7-30 p.m.

Over the past 12 months, the Friends of Brungerley Park have secured donations from community organisations including Citheroe Round Table, Clitheroe Lions, the Ladies Circle and the Freemasons, in addition to securing an Aggregate Levy – all of which is going to the continual improvement of areas in the park and better facilities for families and local schools.

Working alongside the Wildlife Trust and in constant consultation with Ribble Valley Borough Council, the committee is now looking to the future and aims to achieve Green Flag status for its park.

This benchmark national standard for parks and green spaces was launched in 1996 to recognise and reward green space in the country. To date, there are no spaces in Clitheroe with this status.

The AGM is open to all interested parties and the Friends are keen for additional people to join their committee and help to create a vision for the future of Brungerley Park.
