Fire crews raced to a blaze in a flat in Burnley last night.

Two fire engines from Burnley attended the incident in the first floor apartment in Thursfield Road just after 11-30pm.

Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one positive ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.
