A BLOOMIN' lovely Chipping garden opens to the public for the first time this weekend.

Created in nine years from a derelict site, the three-quarter acre site in Moss Lane is the work of Sue and Peter Harrison.

Nestling in the foothills of the Forest of Bowland, the garden is packed with inspirational ideas in reclaimed stone.

Among the unusual plants, trees and climbers, can be found a stone sofa, cobbled moon gate, three water features and two pergolas.
There is also an organic kitchen garden and a herb wheel.

The garden will be opening for charity under the National Garden Scheme on Saturday and Sunday from 1-30 to 5 p.m. Admission is £3, although children are free. Teas and wine will be available and there will be plants for sale.
