The legendary "Knighting of the Sir Loin" was re-enacted by Blackburn Drama Club at a St George's Day Celebration Dinner at Mytton Fold Hotel, Langho.
Organised by the Blackburn and East Lancashire branch of the Royal Society of St George, the event celebrated the Patron Saint of England on his Feast Day.
Entertainment included the re-enactment of the occasion when, according to legend, King James I was so impressed with a loin of beef served to him he knighted it and gave rise to the "sirloin" steak.
