Fool's Paradise in Bolton-by-Bowland
A COMEDY, "Fool's Paradise", is the next play to be staged by Bolton-by-Bowland Drama Group.
Written by Peter Coke, it introduces principal characters Jane and Catherine, desperately short of money, struggling to run an antique-cluttered house and facing mounting bills.
They become involved with a crafty antique dealer who offers them money in the hope of securing a deal, but the antiques are tied up by the trustees and from then on everything they do to rectify matters gets them deeper into trouble.
During the course of the play, many other eccentric characters are introduced, who each add to the ladies' troubles.
The curtain rises tonight (May 8th) and again tomorrow and Saturday in Bolton-by-Bowland Village Hall (behind the Coach and Horses pub) at 7-30 p.m. Tickets are £5 for adults or £2 for children from the village Post Office, the Coach and Horses, Clitheroe Tourist Information Centre, members of the cast or by ringing Keith Garside on 447679. Some tickets may be available on the door.
