MEMBERS of New Form Arts encouraged local talent by organising a public 'artfest' in the Castle Grounds during Clitheroe Festival Weekend.

The public were invited to use their artistic skills to create a large panorama celebrating many of Clitheroe's features and landmarks at the "Draw Clitheroe" event. The artwork is currently on display in Chipping Art Barn (access through the Post Office) alongside an exhibition of work by New Form Arts. At the end of the month the work returns to Clitheroe and will be displayed in the library.

The event also brought good fortune to local girl Fenella Lamle who won a £20 voucher donated by Dawson's Department Store at a draw open to more than 200 participants at the event.

New Form Arts is a group of local artists and craftspeople who meet to support one another and exhibit work as well as promoting art to the public. For more information contact Mary Kelly on 01200 441320 or visit www.newformarts.co.uk .
