A TOUCH of Somerset is coming to Mitton in the form of a Cider and Craft Festival this weekend, at the Aspinall Arms.

There will be around 30 traditional ciders and perries and each day a hog roast will be cooking away, surpervised by the host Simon Forster.

Last night a veritable who's who of folk musicians gathered to perform, with some of the most influential artists to grace stages and record collections across the world. They included former and current members of Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, Lindsfarne, Jethro Tull and Pentangle and the Albion Band.

The craft fair today and tomorrow will have a diverse mix of gifts and crafts from talented local people and is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
