A SUNNY summer's evening in Slaidburn, a glass of cold beer and a brass band playing... what could be better?
This month sees the return of the popular "Brass at the Bounty" concerts, held at the Hark to Bounty Inn, Slaidburn, on the last Thursday of May, June, July and August.

The free concerts are given by the acclaimed Slaidburn Silver Band, under the baton of John Cowking, and always draw the crowds.

The quality of music is guaranteed by the band, the quality of food and drink is guaranteed by the Bounty, only the quality of weather is open to question. But if it should rain, the concerts switch from the pub's garden to the old Courtroom.

Tha dates for this year's Brass at the Bounty concerts are May 29th, June 26th, July 31st and August 28th (all Thursdays), so mark them in your diary music lovers. The concerts start at 7-15 p.m. and more information is available by phoning 01200 423855.
