A SPECIAL 40th anniversary catalogue sale is being held by local auctioneers Silverwoods of Lancashire, based at Ribblesdale Centre, Lincoln Way, Clitheroe.
The important sale of antiques, fine art, silver, jewellery, clocks, watches and fine furniture is already attracting national and international attention from dealers and private buyers.

If you think there may be cash in your attic, or you have an item that you have always wondered might be valuable, Silverwoods are hosting a free evening valuation event where the company's team of experts will be on hand to value items for the sale on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Managing director Robert Parker said: "We are taking in an extremely interesting collection of antiques from country houses and private collectors from around the county for this landmark sale and believe bidding will be keen, as quality antiques are holding their value well at the moment."
