Slaidburn Players ready to take to stage

TWO productions – an old time musical hall and a pantomime – are being busily rehearsed by members of The Slaidburn Players.

During the past five years the group have performed several pantomimes with the next two performances looking set to be just as popular.

On Sunday December 2nd at 7-30 p.m. The Players are putting on an entertaining Lancashire Old Time Musical Hall performance at Newton Village Hall. Tickets are priced £8 and include a pie and pea supper. They are available from Aldwyth on 01200 446437 or Sandra on 01200 448289. Alternatively call in at JD4 Hair or the Health Centre, both in Slaidburn.

In the New Year, The Slaidburn Players will be putting on a production of Alice in Pantoland a traditional pantomime featuring an array of well-known pantomime characters. The panto will be staged at Slaidburn Village Hall and will run from February 28th until March 2nd 2013. Evening performances start at 7-30 p.m., with a matinee performance on March 2nd at 2-30 p.m. Tickets are priced at £6 for evening performances and £6 adult and £3 children for the Saturday matinee.
