YOUNG musicians from across the Ribble Valley will display their talent when a new competition takes place this weekend.
The Rotary Clubs of Clitheroe and Ribblesdale have joined forces to organise and promote the first Rotary Young Musician competition. It will take place on Saturday, October 15th, at St Mary’s Parish Church, in Clitheroe, with a full programme of music and song.
Instrumentalists will play during the morning session and vocalists will sing in the afternoon, with both sessions open to the public and people encouraged to go along and support the young performers. Results will be announced at the end of each session, with winners going forward to the Rotary Lancashire and Cumbria District Competition.
Admission is free and members of the public attending should be in their seats by 9-15 a.m. for the morning session and 1-45 p.m. for the afternoon.
