Young musicians performed a programme of music ranging from Handel to Lloyd Webber, taking in a tango or two, in the annual Stonyhurst St Mary’s Hall Music Competition.

Performances were adjudicated by freelance conductor and musical director, Tom Newall.

Director of Music, Rosanne Walker, said: “There were excellent and confident performances from all the competitors, who are in years four to eight, and everyone benefitted a great deal from Tom’s encouraging comments.”
