The energetic Marley Chingus Quartet makes a welcome return to Clitheroe soon for the latest monthly gig hosted by the Ribble Valley Jazz and Blues Club.
Led by “Mr Charm” himself, Dave Spencer on bass, this is serious Bebop for the 21st century, with unique interpretations of the work of Coltrane, Monk and Mingus.
The gig takes place on Thursday, November 7th, at the club’s regular venue, the Atrium Café Bar at Clitheroe Castle, starting at 8 pm. There is a licensed bar, good food available and ample parking.
Tickets are £10 on the door (members £8, students and under-16s half-price) and everyone is welcome.
The next club gig at The Atrium is on Thursday December 5th and features the Paul Latham / John Ellis Quartet. For more details visit: www.rvjazzandblues.co.uk
