Singer Ella Shaw’s BGT dreams were crushed this evening despite receiving a host of compliments from judges after delivering a rendition of “Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good)” by Rozalla.

Looking stunning, the 18-year-old from Langho, took centre stage at tonight’s live semi-final and hit the high notes - impressing all the judges.

David Walliams said: “I was really blown away by it, well done.”

While Alesha Dixon praised her “great stage presence”. Simon Cowell noticed she was nervous tonight, but said she had “world-class” star quality. Amanda Holden agreed with Simon about Ella’s nerves, but praised her “solid performance”.

But her interpretation of Rozalla’s hit did not win enough votes to take Ella through to the live final of the show on Sunday. Acts UDI and Jamie Raven were voted through to the final joining Cor Glanaethwy, Entity Allstars, Jules O’Dwyer and Matisse.
