A BURNLEY music student is getting ready to take the music world by storm – armed with a guitar and a degree.
Jayke Cox, who recently completed a music degree at Burnley, has just released his latest single “Beautiful Girl” through Doc Redeye.
The talented singer-songwriter has been busy over the last few months developing his own unique style of music with producer Steve Reid, mixing acoustic sounds with rock undertones.
“The degree has given me a true insight into the industry, not only developing my performing skills but understanding the business and production skills needed to make a living,” said Jayke.
He recently supported Gabriella Cilmi on her UK tour and is building up quite a following with a number of live performances and radio interviews including switching on the lights at Darwen and a stadium performance at Preston.
Steve added: “Jayke has a great singing feel and warmth to his voice; the songs are modern but maintain traditional song writing values creating a melodic style rarely seen in new releases over the last few years.”
His first single is now available on all good downloads and the video is available to look at on YouTube.
