THE last meeting of the Ribblesdale Camera Club before Christmas was a picture quiz prepared and set by member John Fletcher.
Forty close-up photos were shown of ordinary household objects, with participants having to guess what they were. Everybody marked their own results sheet, the winner being Steve Procter with a score of 31.
Prior to the quiz, John showed a DVD of the Club’s November exhibition at Longridge library, which, after its refurbishment, has little space for prints, but a large plasma screen for digital projections. This had not been used before and the high standard of the images created many compliments.
In parallel was the exhibition of prints in Clitheroe Library, which again was praised. It was interesting to see both aspects of the club’s photography shown locally.
The club meets at 7-30 p.m. on Tuesdays at West Bradford Village Hall and more information can be found on: www.ribblesdalecameraclub.org.uk
Potential members are always welcome to try a few meetings before joining.
