The portrait, described by Nigel as “brilliant”, will be on display until May 31st and is part of a larger exhibition entitled “Portraits”.

John commented: “It was important to choose a face that people know, or think they know. I have aimed to capture Nigel the person, by presenting him in a natural and relaxed composition. This is a less familiar image than that of constituency MP in suit and tie.”

l “Portraits” by John Rotherham is currently showing at The Studio at Bashall Barn Art Gallery, Bashall Barn, Bashall Eaves, BB7 3LQ. The exhibition runs until May 31st.
