Children from Bolton-by-Bowland Primary School held two performance of their Nativity play.

The production entitled “AD 2000” was a big success with parents, grandparents, families and locals.

The story about a fun-filled musical adventure in time featured a talking time machine, a group of adventurous children and their rather eccentric teacher who travel back in time to discover events that changed time 2000 years ago.

Headteacher Mrs Stansfield said: “The children sang beautifully and the performance was a big hit with all who watched. Thanks to the staff and children for all their hard work. Thanks also to all the local businesses and friends of Bolton-by-Bowland School (FOBBS) who donated prizes and sold raffle tickets. We managed to raise a magnificent £700 for the children.”
