Longridge Heritage Centre was busy with volunteers, guests and buyers on Saturday at the launch of its new book ‘Our Heritage-Longridge Past and Present.’

Expanded from an exhibition first shown at the Old Station in 2013, with photos both specially commissioned and from the town archive, the book describes lifestyles and scenes over the last 100 years and more as Longridge has grown and changed.

Guests who helped with research and production were welcomed with mayor Coun Sarah Rainford, and volunteers were thrilled as sales reached more than 80 in three hours.

Copies are available at the Centre at £12, a Christmas offer of two for £20 and on line.
