This week will see work completed on Clitheroe Pinnacle writes Dr Martin Seddon, project manager of Clitheroe Pinnacle Project.

It doesn’t seem long since the scaffolding went up, but by the time you read this it will be coming down again.

The top-most section with a new cap with the date on it was fitted and the final pointing finished on Wednesday with the Civic Society Committee and others in attendance.

The contractors have been very efficient and completed the job ahead of time and the work is first rate.

Please walk past and look at the finished structure. You will see a small amount of new stonework but, other than the new pointing, it will look pretty much the same.

This is the mark of good heritage work. However, internally a lot of damage has been repaired and the structure is now fit for a good length of time.
