gambolling lambs, hay meadows and beautiful Bluebells are just some of the potential subjects on offer for budding photographers throughout the Forest of Bowland.

The 2011 Bowland Photo-Walks programme is run by professional photographer, Veronica Caperon, who ran a similar programme in 2010 as part of the Bowland Arts Festival. Experienced in working with adults and children alike, Veronica has both full and half day walks available to book. She explains: “I take participants to some stunning locations and share my photographic experience with them, hopefully enabling them to unlock their individual creativity. The aim is to get people to grips with digital photography in some of the most beautiful places in this Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty.”

Full day photo safari dates start with Dunsop Bridge on Saturday, April 16th, Clitheroe Castle on Saturday, May 7th and Abbeystead and Settle on Sunday, June 5th and Saturday, June 9th, respectively. There will also be a programme of half day family walks, with Settle on Saturday, July 30th and Eldroth and Lawkland on Saturday, August 13th, finishing with an autumn themed walk from Dunsop Bridge on Monday, October 24th. Tickets are £35 for the full day photo safari and £10 per adult, £5 for children over nine years or £20 per family ticket, to include one or two adults, for the half day camera walks.
