Clitheroe Ramblers have published a revised and updated edition of their popular book “25 Walks in the Ribble and Hodder Valleys”.
The book was first produced in 2004, using walk descriptions which were originally featured in the then-monthly Valley magazine in the Clitheroe Advertiser and Times.
It describes walks of four to eight miles in length, in locations stretching from Slaidburn to Mellor and from Chipping to Rimington.
Costing £5.99, the book is available from many local outlets, including Clitheroe Library and the town’s Visitor Centre (now at the Platform Gallery in Station Road).
Other stockists include Whalley Post Office, Riverbank Tea Rooms in Slaidburn, Puddleducks Café in Dunsop Bridge and local outdoor equipment and clothing retailers.
With its attractive maps and local photos, 25 Walks in the Ribble and Hodder Valleys would make an ideal gift for
anyone who enjoys walking in the surrounding countryside and will also appeal to visitors who need guidance on local walks when visiting the area.
