Ribcaged Productions Ltd, the Ribble Valley-based theatre company, will launch its new season at the Longitude Gallery & Latitude Studios in Clitheroe on Thursday February 6th.
It is also using the occasion to recruit talented local actors keen to get involved with Ribcaged and its highly acclaimed productions.
A spokesmand for the company explained: “We will be announcing our new season and will be sharing details of how to get involved with Ribcaged. The evening will be a networking opportunity for professional actors as well as hoping to find new local artists / designers etc. who are interested in being involved with Ribcaged.
“We have many exciting projects including plays and a Musical, which will premiere in Clitheroe before beginning it’s journey to the West End!”

The evening is being held at the beautiful Longitude Gallery at Lee Carter House, Clitheroe, the town’s newest art gallery showcasing modern British art by both national established and local up-and-coming professional artists. It is located just off Castlegate, next to the United Reformed Church, and after 6 pm there is free car-parking behind the gallery in the car park accessed off Lowergate.
Also, if you are, or know of, a young person interested in drama, Ribcaged is running a Half-Term Drama School at Moorlands School in Clitheroe from February 17th to 21st, from 9 am to 4 pm each day and costing £150 per pupil for the week.
“We want to inspire young performers and encourage them into drama,” said the group’s spokesman. “Ribcaged have recently been working in a number of Ribble Valley Schools providing after-school drama clubs for more than 120 young people.
