A capacity audience was brought to tears over and again with the constant barrage of one liners and simply daft humour from a master of comedy, Jimmy Cricket, who himself broke out in a fit of giggles as some audience members doubled up in laughter at his delivery.
The Flat Cap Pack made the joint jump with Las Vegas classics of Frank, Sammy and Dean, but with Lancashire words, and reference to age and northern customs. An original concept, and with local humour so well received by an appreciative audience.
The swinging continued with renditions in perfect harmony from The Sparkle Sisters, three girls who deliver songs of the Andrews Sisters and with retro style.A selection of film music from the brass ensemble of Stonyhurst College was played with zest and demonstrated the enormous potential of the students.
