THREE performances of Cole Porter's musical "Kiss Me Kate" brought the house down at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School.

Fifty pupils took part in the show, from Years 7 through to sixth-form students.

The lead roles of Lily and Fred were played by Laura Hunt and Tyrone Ruth, with the character of Hattie taken by 11-year-old Lauren Griffiths.
Teacher Dawn Elliott, who was responsible for producing "Kiss me Kate", said: "We were absolutely delighted with the show, the pupils did really well. It is quite a difficult and complex show, but we had a lot of confidence in the students. They did so well and dealt with any little hitches very professionally so that the audience were never aware that there had even been a problem."

CRGS stages a big musical production every second year, with a play, pantomime or other piece of theatre performed on the alternate year.
