CHILDREN at Bolton-by-Bowland Primary School have been busy designing and making a new garden area in memory of their much-loved teaching assistant, Nan Sutherland.
Nan passed away in October 2007 and the children wanted to produce something for future generations to remember her by. Shackletons garden centre in nearby Chatburn donated a wooden bridge, which was the next step in the children's garden design, together with an archway and gravel.

The children invited Paul Shackleton to join them in their garden and to thank him for his generosity. He is pictured with the children and their teachers. (s)
