A BEAUTIFUL secluded garden in Sabden opened to the public and raised around £900 for charity.
The garden at Aureol House, off Pendle Street East, attracted dozens of visitors during an afternoon for the National Gardens Scheme "open for charity" campaign.

The garden, lovingly tended by Hazel and Rowland Lansdell, has lots of interesting areas and themes such as the Japanese and Italianate sections, the English garden and a woodland area for the public to browse.

There were refreshments and a plant stall and even the weather stayed fine.

The garden will be open again to the public on Sunday, July 12th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
