INFORMATION sheets advising horse owners on safety and security issues have been produced by two Ribble Valley PCSOs.

Jane Pearson and Di Bioletti have produced a series of information sheets, which give advice on stable, horse, wagon and trailer security as well as road safety.

Part of their "Horse Watch" programme for the Ribble Valley, the information packs are being distributed to livery yards in the borough along with Horse Watch posters that will show horse owners are members of the scheme.

"The purpose of Ribble Valley Horse Watch is to raise awareness about security among the equestrian world as a deterrent to equine crime," explained PCSO Pearson.

Private horse owners interested in the scheme are welcome to contact Jane or Di on 01200 458772 or 01254 353016.
