RIBBLE Valley Borough Council has published its popular annual tourist guide.

The 2008 Ribble Valley Visitor Guide will be distributed to tourist information centres across the UK. It will also be available at tourism exhibitions throughout the year, including the prestigious Great Days Out Exhibition at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton, and the Stonyhurst Food Festival.

The revamped and extended guide has a stylish new look, with new photography and words, as well as features on events, places to stay, attractions and village profiles.

Ribble Valley Borough Council's tourism information officer, Stephanie Hibbert, said: "We decided to give the guide a stylish new look and more information on accommodation. Feedback from tourism colleagues and visitors has been excellent, and the guide is flying off the shelves."

The guide is available from the Tourist Information Centre at its new home in the Ribble Valley Borough Council Offices in Church Walk, Clitheroe. Copies are also available by phoning the centre on 01200 425566.
