Mayor's cash aid for local groups

LOCAL organisations have benefited from grants presented by the Mayor of Clitheroe, Coun. David Berryman.


The monetary donations were made from the Mayor's Welfare Fund.

Grants were received by the Clitheroe and Ribble Valley East MS Society; Friends of Chernobyl's Children Society; the Fourth Girl Guides St Michael and St John; Ribble Valley Choir; Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Samaritans; ChildLine North West; Age Concern; Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue; the North West Air Ambulance and Mencap.

Cheques were handed out by Coun. Berryman during a presentation at the Town Mayor's Parlour.
