HEADING north of the border for a stamina-testing challenge later this month is Whalley's Lisa Richardson.

The plucky 39-year-old, of Calderstones Park, will run the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday, May 25th, raising funds for Breast Cancer Care.
She is no stranger to marathon running, having completed four events before, but this will be her first time in Edinburgh.

Until recently she worked as a healthcare assistant at the Castle Medical Practice, in Clitheroe, but has now taken up a place as a Student Nurse in Preston.

Lisa, who is training regularly for the marathon, chose Breast Cancer Care because a good friend was recently diagnosed with and treated for the disease. Anyone who would like to sponsor her can phone on 01254 822688.
