A TEENAGER, who originally asked for her GCSE results not to be printed in the paper for fear of ruining her 16th birthday celebrations, has scored a maximum 11 A* grades.
Clitheroe Royal Grammar School pupil Senna Aslam has scored the joint best result at the Ribble Valley school which placed her among not only the very best in Lancashire, but the country.

Her achievement is especially significant as she is one of the youngest in her school year.

Senna, who lives in Nelson, had plenty to celebrate when she turned 16 on Saturday, making her mother Mrs Farkhanda Aslam proud. Her best friend Maria Asad also celebrated 11 A*s.

Senna took biology, chemistry, physics, maths, English language, English literature, food technology, information technology, history, French and additional maths.

She starts her A-levels in biology, chemistry, maths, French and general studies at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School Sixth Form Centre next month.
