Salesbury have the opportunity to land a second Twenty20 crown after reaching Finals Day following victory over Read.

The 2013 champions reached the semi-final stages after professional Neil Hornbuckle’s knock of 74 contributed to a 49-run win.

The paid man and Brandon Faber (39) put on 132 for the opening wicket as the hosts reached 155-3 at Ribchester Road. Peter Richardson added an unbeaten knock of 17.

Liam Parkinson then ripped through Read’s battling line-up in the reply, taking figures of 5-19 from four overs.

However, they suffered defeat against Euxton at Balshaw Park in the Ribblesdale Cricket League.

Chasing the 211 runs set by the hosts, Salesbury finished 10 runs short with Hornbuckle reaching 64.
